Family Intelligence gives every member their own private AI, and coordinates only what they choose to share. Security Layer blocks scam calls, texts, and malicious sites, and monitors the dark web for your family's data. Privacy Shield masks personally identifiable information before any AI sees it. Your question gets through. Your identity never does. Learning Buddy answers your child's question, then nudges them to think one step further. Smart Routing sends each request to the AI model best suited to it, so you never have to choose.
Those are excellent AI tools, and Kaleida builds on top of them rather than replacing them. The difference is what each is designed around. They are built to help one person at a time. Kaleida is designed around your whole family, with each member's habits, needs, and schedule in mind, and it shares only what each person agrees to share. Kaleida also sits between your family and those models, so your personal information is protected before anything is sent out.
Unlike a lot of AI startups, we're not new to any of this. Trend Micro has been protecting people and large companies for 38 years, applying AI and machine learning to that protection long before "AI" became a buzzword. Cybersecurity and data protection are our heritage and our core. What's new is bringing that same threat intelligence and infrastructure into family AI, and Kaleida is where that starts. TrendLife continues that same model today, so you're not being asked to trust something new.
Before anything is sent to an external AI provider, Privacy Shield automatically masks your name, email, phone number, ID number, account numbers, credit card numbers, and activation codes. This applies to text and photos alike. The external AI only ever sees anonymised placeholders, never your real data, and Kaleida puts the real information back into the answer for you.
Kaleida blocks scam calls, texts, and malicious sites, and monitors the dark web in case your family's data has been leaked. If someone in your family is targeted, Kaleida alerts them, and for high-risk situations it keeps the family organiser in the loop so they can help. All of it is backed by 38 years of Trend Micro threat intelligence. If you want to check something yourself, Scam Check lets you submit a screenshot, link, phone number, or message, including videos from Facebook, X, and TikTok, and get a straight answer.
Kaleida answers your child's question first, then nudges them to think one step further, instead of just handing over the answer and stopping there. It is designed for kids under 18. Each week, parents get a card showing how their child's thinking is developing over time: never a score, and never a transcript of what they asked. Kaleida is built to support your child, not to report on them.
Kaleida is available on iOS and Android mobile phones and tablets. Android devices must be running Android 10.0 or later, while iOS devices must be running the current version of iOS or one of the two previous versions. Kaleida runs within the TrendLife app. Each family member must have their own TrendLife account, and an internet connection is required to use the service. Kaleida is designed for users aged 8 and older. Your Kaleida account is not tied to a single device, so you can sign in on another device and continue where you left off.
There are three plans: Lite, Standard, and Plus. All of them share one usage pool across the whole household, and all of them include the full Kaleida feature set. Lite covers up to 4 people and starts at $16.50/month. Standard and Plus each cover up to 6 people, with Standard giving twice Lite's usage and Plus giving five times. The difference between plans is family size and how much AI usage you get, not which features are unlocked.
Yes. Every plan gives you 14 days with full access to every feature. Depending on your plan and where you subscribe, that is either a free trial you can cancel before billing starts, or a 14-day money-back guarantee. The exact terms are shown before you pay.
One message counts as one full question and answer, and the whole household draws from the same pool. You will get a warning when your family reaches 80% of the month's usage. If you do run out, AI conversations pause until your quota resets, but safety protection keeps working, including scam blocking and Scam Check. Quotas reset on the same date each month.
